Brooklyn born, raised across Brooklyn and Queens, and Long Island, Maal Cee is an artist, DJ, MC, producer and arranger whose musical roots extend to the 1970s band Touch on Brunswick Records.
As a member of The Fleet, Moocah Fam, Tha Regulaz and D.G.F., he developed a body of uncompromising Hip Hop through collaboration, self-direction and lived continuity, shunning a manufactured arrival story.
Years in London beginning in 2001 widened the geography of the work. Returning to New York in 2016 brought those experiences back into a catalogue now preserved through Ridgewood Music and ONEFAN@ATIME.
