Welcome to the
open channel.

The records are the center of this site, but they are not the end of the conversation.

There are thoughts that live around the music: the places that shaped it, decisions made while producing it, memories carried into a verse, and questions that do not fit on a release page. Signal / Response gives those things a permanent home.

This is an open channel, but not an endless feed. Each transmission will have a date, a place in the archive and room to be considered at its own pace. A response does not need to perform for an audience. It only needs to add something honest to the exchange.

The purpose is continuity. The catalogue preserves the work. This space preserves some of the thinking, listening and conversation that surrounds it.

Communication is completed by what comes back.

Send a response when something here reaches you. I will be reading.
